Essay: Compare and Contrast

                                                                                                                                    11/22/13
                                                    Compare and Compare

CEOs of tobacco companies, presidents who wage war, and paparazzi all follow the law, but are they really good people? A Rastafarian who smoke ganga, an illegal immigrant who works hard and pays taxes, and a homeless man who loiters are all law breakers but are they bad people? Everyone has there own rights and wrongs and to someone something that is right might be wrong for another. Sometimes things are inevitable and that might change your perspective on right and wrong. Certain circumstances change your view on what is right and wrong such as stealing to feed yourself .To the average Joe that is wrong cause they never had the need to steal or anything else. Though to the person stealing it’s a different story as he needs it to survive and therefore stealing is right for him.
Most of the time the law and morals are the same. Throughout all countries there are laws that everyone must follow. Whether they are from the government, kingdom or religious laws they are followed. Laws range from big crimes to small ones and though they differ in seriousness they are still punishable. Stealing per say is a small crime compared to mass murder though to everyone both crimes are still wrong both morally and legally. Not only these but things such as kidnapping, rape and child abuse are not only illegal but morally wrong.
Something being illegal doesn’t make it immoral or wrong. In this country there are things that are illegal which doesn’t make don’t make people who do them evil or immoral. For example illegal entry into the U.S it doesn’t make the person or the people evil. It is also not going against a person’s thoughts on what is right and wrong. As well as things that can go against a persons right or wrong but are illegal to do such as the assisting o f a patient’s suicide. In the medical world any Doctor, Nurse or any other medical person can’t help a patient in suicide. Even if the patient tells you he feels so much pain and wants you to pull the plug or if the patient is kept alive by machines and doesn’t want to live it is illegal. Though is helping someone get rid of the pain even if it’s illegal does it make you evil or immoral.
Things in life can agree sometimes and disagree later on.I mean not everything has to be pitch-perfect and they will never be. Its not people can agree on things all the time there will always be things that people won’t agree on and problems will arise. Just because people do things following the law doesn’t make them good as well as those who break it doesn’t make them bad. So not all things will agree every time even if most of the time both the law and morals are the same. Even if its illegal doesn’t make it wrong or make it go against someone’s morals or anyone’s at all.
